JSMap
Java Site Mapping Tool
First Step: You need to have a Java Runtime Environment installed on your PC.
You can download a Java Environment from:
Second Step: Download the JSMap “jar” file (
jsmap-0.1-alpha.jar )
from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jsmap/
Third Step: If the jar.exe is associated with the .jar extension inside your
operating system,
a double click on our jar file will suffice to launch the installation procedure.
Otherwise open a shell window in your operating system, go to the directory
where you downloaded the .jar file
and enter the following command:
java -jar jsmap-0.1-alpha.jar
Enter the URL of the Website you want to create the site map for.
Then just hit the “go” button and whithin a few seconds your site
map will be generated.
You can create site maps for more than one page. For every new URL you enter,
a new tab will be opened.
Klick on the tabs to switch between site maps.
The Options Panel lets you alter the look of your site map in various ways.
Classic, Squariefied:
Choose between the Classic (rectangular) or Squariefied look of the elements in your tree map.
Border Size:
Defines the size of the border between the site elements in the tree map. Move the slider to adjust.
Checkboxes Cushion and Border:
Check Cushion to add a three dimensional look to your site elements.
Enabling Cushion will hide your elements outline. To show the outline anyway
check Border.
Propagation Factor:
Use the slider to adjust the sharpness and size of the highlights on your site
elements.
Smaller values will spread the highlight, larger values will sharpen the highlight.
Height:
You are able to change the height effect of your site elements from flat (slider
in center position)
to indent (center to left) or outdent (center to right).
Intensity:
The Intensity slider controls the Intensity of the cushion effect.
Move it to the left to fade out the cushion effect.
Draw Titles:
Hide or Show Titles of the displayed Sites.
